Decoration Ideas: Karwa Chauth

 

One of the greatest part of the fesrtival of karwa chauth is the karwa chauth thali. As it is an essential in the festival, it only makes sense that a good amount of effort goes into it to ensure nothing goes wrong. To highlight it’s importance, it’s a great idea and practice to decorate this thali! Here are a few ideas!

With Oil:

This is a very traditional way of decoration, where you can use oil to make a design on the pooja thali and then drop haldi or sindoor or even rangoli colors to make the design standout. Make sure to clean out the rough edges with a cloth and Voila!

With Velvet:

This is one of the easies way to jazz up your puja thali. Place a vibrant velvet cloth on your puja thali and then place all your other thali items. Get matching diyas with your cloth to make it look classier and if not, going along with golden colored diyas will always make the velvet cloth look royal.

With Laces:

For this decoration idea, cover the thali with cloth of a bright color or even a beautiful pattern or instead colored paper or patterned paper can be used to. Now cover the edges of your thali plate with beautiful laces that match your cloth or paper. Now place the rest of the items on your thali and look at the beauty of the lace that almost resembles a sacred ring protecting your items on the plate!

With Mirrors:

This decoration idea has a striking appeal. Start by drawing an auspicious symbol or sign like that of a diya or a swastika with a market on the thali, now get hold of tiny mirrors and glue them on the design. You can also mix and match this idea with the one above and add some lace on the corner of the plate to enhance the appeal!
